The Dual Bike trailer is strong enough to carry any 2 production motorcycles built today with wheelbases up to 71". Extensions are also available for choppers and wider rear tracks are available to accommodate up to a 300 tire. As is the single, the dual’s main construction is 2 1/2" and 2" structural steel (1/2" and 3/16" thick wall steel, that's material they build buildings out of), with a 5000 lb. 2" coupler, 1000 lb. spindle on each side, D rated 8-ply tires and bearings rated at 7500 rpm!! A 12"-14" ball height puts this motorcycle trailer at a perfect height for towing. With a 93" distance between wheels it too is extremely stable!
The dual bike Trailer In A Bag was designed to have a tongue weight of 250 lbs - 350 lbs depending on which bikes are on it. That's good for a class 2 - 3 hitch and higher. No awkward adjustments to get the right tongue weight. Just load the bikes onto the trailer and the desired tongue weight is there. As strong as it is, because of the structural steel, it only weighs 300 lbs with the heaviest individual piece weighing only 35 lbs and the longest piece being only 42 inches.
Another cool feature of the dual bike is that it can be converted back into our single motorcycle trailer whenever it’s not necessary to pull a full sized two rail trailer. Imagine the convenience of being able to use the same trailer as a single rail or a dual rail trailer any time you want.
